Police, Bomb Squad Respond Amid Concerns of Poison in Goodrich Woods

Officers find a conscious 49-year-old man slumped over in a vehicle that had 'poison' written on it.

Police reopened Hobson Road late Wednesday afternoon after concerns of hazardous materials, explosives or poison had shut it down for hours earlier in the day. Around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to Goodrich Woods after a passerby called in a report of a suicide in progress. Upon their arrival, officers found a conscious 49-year-old man slumped over in a white vehicle parked in a parking lot of the DuPage County Forest Preserve. Police said the man initially tried to drive away but stopped when he was ordered out of the vehicle by officers. Naperville Police Cmdr.
