NAPERVILLE A woman who moved out of an apartment in the 200 block of East Bailey Road two months ago returned to the apartment May 15 and asked the property manager if she could get her belongings. She was told by the property manager that the apartment was cleaned out and she was not allowed to enter, police said. A resident then saw the woman scale the balconies to get to her old apartment on the third floor, but she was not able to gain entry, police said. CLARENDON HILLS An apartment tenant on the 200 block of North Richmond Avenue wrote in magic marker on his door that "any trespassers will be shot," according to a police report. WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3 According to Woodridge Police, someone removed four laptop computers between September 12 and October 3 from Jefferson Junior High School. The school is located at 7200 Janes Avenue. MONDAY, OCTOBER 1 At about 5 p.m., someone drove off from the Shell Gas Station at 2010 87th Street without paying for $43.55 of gas. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 Sometime between 9:30 p.m. on September 27 and 8:30 a.m. on September 28, someone stole a polictical sign from the yard of a resident who lives on the 7600 block of Janes Avenue. Mary Marra, 44, plead guilty Thursday to stealing money from a Downers Grove law firm, where she worked as a secretary.
A Woodridge woman plead guilty Thursday to stealing more than $550,000 from a Downers Grove law firm where she worked as a secretary, according to the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office. Mary Marra, 44, of the 3000 block of 63rd Street, plead guilty to two counts of theft in excess of $100,000 and one count of continuing financial crimes enterprise. Both are felony charges. Marra allegedly embezzled $551,662.66 through a scheme she was able to keep hidden from her employers for more than five years, according to a press release. Beginning in December 2002, Marra employed several different methods to commit the thefts, including writing herself unauthorized checks from bank accounts controlled by the law firm and forging her employer…

The 18-year-old was originally suspected of stealing money from the women's locker room, according to Downers Grove police.
Kristen Dodd, 18, of 1904 Nottingham Road in Woodridge, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on May 15, according to police. Dodd initially was suspected of stealing money from the women's locker room at Downers Grove South, officers said. Three students reported thefts during first-, second- and seventh-hour gym classes. When police reviewed footage from a nearby security camera, they said Dodd was the only unsupervised student in the locker room during those times. A search of Dodd's locker turned up 4.5 grams of marijuana, a grinder and $168 in cash, according to officers.
