One of the males displayed a handgun, police said. Here are more details.
Woodridge police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred last weekend in the village. Three unknown males, one of them with a handgun, approached some people and requested they hand over their belongings. The incident took place outside at about 3:51 a.m. May 4 on the 2500 block of Spring Street, according to police. The males took $20 cash, a cell phone and then fled the scene in a grey van. Information on this robbery was not immediately released due to unreliable descriptions of the males and other details, police said. The investigation was still open as of May 10, police said.
