What is the primary reason you are running for this office? My wife and I have enjoyed living in Woodridge for over 10 years and have two young children. We love our community and all the great things it has to offer, it is important to me to keep Woodridge a safe and inviting place to raise a family. As a Father, a Business Man and a Plan Commissioner I feel like I can contribute to our great community. I believe in strong family values, embracing diversity and exercising fiscal responsibility. The Woodridge Village Clerk is running unopposed for re-election.
Woodridge Village Clerk Eileene Nystrom has filed for re-election and she is running uncontested. She was first elected clerk in 2001 and served as deputy clerk for 23 years before that. Nystrom has lived in Woodridge since 1967 and has been active in various service organizations in Woodridge, including the Woodridge Special Events Committee since 1979. She is an active member and served as president of the Municipal Clerks of DuPage County and the League of Women Voters of Woodridge, Downers Grove and Lisle. Early voting begins March 25. I am seeking office because I believe that the Village of Woodridge is an excellent community with residents that believe and care in its success and I want to continue to work to ensure that the Village services are provided in a fiscally responsible manner. A resident of Woodridge since he was born and first elected in 2003, Trustee Joe Kagann is the son of former Mayor Joel Kagann. He attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He is also a former member of the United States Army Reserve. Since 2001, Trustee Kagann has been the Operations Manager for CPX Sports, an extreme theme paintball field in Joliet.

Kagann and Beavers are running for re-election, while Picek and fellow trustee Gregory Abbott are running for mayor.
