Court Watch: Naperville North Sex Abuse Case

Check in with the court cases we're keeping an eye on in DuPage County.

DUPAGE: Elmhurst: The Elmhurst man convicted last month on 15 counts of possessing child pornography was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to register as a sex offender. Paul F. Murphy was arrested last year after an investigation turned up hundreds of pornographic images on computer files and DVDs in Murphy's apartment. He was also ordered to serve 180 days in DuPage County Jail, but was credited with 326 days he had already served. Downers Grove/Lisle: John C. Campbell, accused of pretending to be a federal agent, pleaded not guilty Jan. 9 to forgery and multiple counts of impersonating an officer. Campbell was arrested in November after telling a Lisle police officer and a bank employee he was a U.S. Marshal, according …

Patch Court Watch: Child Pornography

The cases we're keeping an eye on in DuPage County.

DUPAGE: Glen Ellyn: A Glen Ellyn man pleaded not guilty Oct. 17 to four counts of aggravated possession of child pornography, according to court records. Daniel Zito, 24, was indicted Oct. 13 following his arrest as part of an investigation by the DuPage County Sheriff's Office. Police seized two computers and found pornographic movies involving children, officials said. Zito remains held in DuPage County Jail on $75,000 bail. He returns to court Nov. 21. Naperville: A grand jury recently indicted a Naperville man on nine counts of aggravated possession of child pornography, records show. David Denofrio, 38, was arrested in September after an investigation by Naperville police turned up suspected images of child pornography. He is free on …
