Woodridge Police to Perform Roadside Safety Checkpoints
Police will check driver's licenses, seat-belt compliance, insurance and driving under the influence.
The Woodridge Police Department will be conducting a roadside safety checkpoint on St. Patrick's Day. Roadside safety checkpoints are conducted to promote the safety and well-being of the motoring public and to provide a deterrent for those who might violate the Illinois Vehicle Code, according to a police release. Police will check for those who are operating a motor vehicle with defective equipment, driving without a valid driver’s license, non compliance with the safety seat belt laws, operating uninsured vehicles or driving under the influence of any intoxicating substance.
