The Hammond B3 Organ&nbsp;factored heavily into the outlandishly, cutting-edge, soul-stirring, genre-defying sounds of "Vanilla Fudge". But...wait...there&rsquo;s more...Mark Stein blew people&rsquo;s minds, by simultaneously providing lead vocals of mesmerizing, hard-rock-driven,&nbsp;soulful, resonating, growling Blues...all while commanding the keys of the Hammond like a boss! To sing lead vocals with so much power&nbsp;and play keyboards at the same time, with such expertise, is a rare and unsurpassed feat of epic proportions. 
As if that were not enough, mix in the once-in-a-lifetime guitar genius of Vince Martell, whose scintillating, unforgettable, sizzling, opening guitar riff set the guitar&nbsp;strings on fire for the hottest version of &ldquo;You Keep Me Hangin&rsquo; On&rdquo; ever emblazoned into vinyl. Vince Martell&rsquo;s enthralling&nbsp;guitar riff has since been immortalized as the "#4 Heaviest Guitar Riff of All-Time" in classic rock by "Guitar Magazine". Another triple-threat in the talent department, Vince Martell plays lead guitar&nbsp;and sings at the same time&nbsp;effortlessly, and pens magnificent songs.

Two words...Carmine Appice!&nbsp;Never forget that name!&nbsp;Carmine Appice is the&nbsp;pulse of &ldquo;Vanilla Fudge&rdquo; and a force to be reckoned with for the ages. Carmine Appice exhibits invigorating, powerful, driving, pulsating stamina,&nbsp; and mystifying kinetic energy, as he channels his vast otherworldly talent,&nbsp;infusing&nbsp;limitless imaginative rhythmic progressions&nbsp;into every beat. Carmine Appice is nothing less than a legend. 
As a precursor to the heavy metal scene, "Vanilla Fudge" rocked out with deep, bluesy, soulful, progressive rock styling. With over a dozen albums and countless singles, "Vanilla Fudge" struck their lasting claim to fame, with their over-the-top, outlandish, sophisticated, acid-rock inspired, psychedelic cover version of "You Keep Me Hangin' On", which they played to a standing ovation on the legendary "Ed Sullivan Show".
