$1,200 in Tools Taken During Burglary: Police Blotter

FRIDAY, AUG. 9

$1,200 in Tools Gone

Someone removed about $1,200 worth of tools from a parked vehicle on the 3000 block of Crabtree. The incident occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Aug. 8 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 9, police said.

TUESDAY, AUG. 6

Brick Through Glass

Someone used a brick to break through the front glass of a business, then make entry and take about $111 in cash. The incident occurred at about 1:34 a.m. on the 7400 block of Woodward, police said.

MONDAY, AUG. 5

Solicitor Shut Down

Daniel Shinost, 18, of the 800 1/2 Lane of the first block of 1/2 Powell, Wyo.,  was charged at 8:03 p.m. with solicitor/salesman violation (no permit) on the 8200 block of Geneva Road. Shinost was also charged for the same offense during a different incident on Aug. 13 in Downers Grove, according to a report.

Purse Lifted from Library

Someone removed a library patron's purse at about 3 p.m. from the Woodridge Public Library on the first block of Plaza Drive, police said.
